Jason Makes Coffee

Where to begin… during the Pandemic I found myself with more time than I knew what to do with, with this extra time I got heavily invested in making great coffee at home. As time went on this progressed and snowballed into something much more than I thought it would. It has become a hobby something that I wanted to gain more knowledge about, perfect and have fun doing. I had officially gone down the speciality coffee rabbit hole.

In 2020 I decided it was time to share my hobby with the world, so I decided to start making content on Instagram with the handle @jasonmakescoffee. I started by posting almost daily photos and videos to the platform trying to connect with other likeminded people. Well…it worked, the coffee community on Instagram was booming and I made lots of friends and started to build engagement with my posts.

As I improved my content creation skills and started to create more interesting and unique content, my engagement steadily began to rise. I focused on the video element of Instagram as I learned this was the main place to reach people and grow. I started creating Reels and focused on short thirty second videos that I would shoot on my phone and edit in premiere. It was super fun and I really learned so much about social media and video editing for that matter.

All this gave me a deep understanding of social media which has been instrumental to the advice I offer as part of my social media consulting service. I have firsthand knowledge in Instagram, but this knowledge is widely transferable to all the major social media networks. If you want to find out more about this, drop me a message!

Anyway, fast forward to 2022, I now have over twenty-five thousand followers and I am still creating content whilst enjoying my hobby. I have learned so much over the past 18 months and I still really love everything I do over on Instagram. I intend to keep going and growing my account in the future!
